Exploring Finland and Vuokatti
Finland with a population of 5.5 million is famous for its thousands of lakes. In the wintertime, white snow and beautiful peaceful nature is a breathtaking experience and brings visitors back to Finland all over again. In the summertime, visitors can enjoy bright nights as the sun in the northern part of Finland does not set for several weeks.
As Vuokatti is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Finland, it is an excellent place to organize the ICSS 2019 and invite participants to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, clean nature and great skiing possibilities - and if you are lucky, the Northern lights! Besides snowboarding, downhill skiing and cross-country skiing, one can easily try all the "must do" Finnish snow activities such as snowmobiling, husky safaris and snowshoeing. All the elements of the Finnish culture, including the sauna and great culinary experiences, are of course also available. The world's first ski tunnel (1,25 km long) and the snowboarding tunnel offer unique possibilities to experience winter activities all year round. With the stable temperature of -7 degrees Celsius inside of the tunnel, you can take part in a dog sled safari, snowmobile safari or experience cross-country skiing even in the summer time in Vuokatti.
